Hosting Guide for Mesh AI
Welcome to Mesh AI, a leading GPU marketplace where hosts connect with clients seeking high-performance computational resources. This guide provides essential steps and responsibilities to help you succeed as a host on Mesh AI.
Initial Setup Responsibilities
System Preparation Install Ubuntu: Begin by setting up Ubuntu on your machine. Configure Disk and Drivers: Partition your disk and install the latest NVIDIA drivers to ensure optimal GPU performance. Network and Software Configuration: Set up your router's network ports and install the Mesh AI hosting software.
Issue Resolution Technical Support: Handle any technical problems, such as driver conflicts or hardware malfunctions. Although Mesh AI offers community support through Discord, direct assistance for setup issues is not available.
Rental Management Independent Management: Manage your GPU rental listings autonomously. Set competitive prices and rental terms to meet client needs while balancing your own tasks.
Maintenance Planning Strategic Scheduling: Plan maintenance activities carefully to minimize disruptions to client projects.
Hosting Account and Agreement
Account Creation Separate Hosting Account: Create a dedicated account for hosting. Combining hosting and client activities in a single account can lead to complications.
Hosting Agreement Terms Acceptance: Agree to the Mesh AI hosting terms during the initial setup to activate your host account.

Comprehensive Guide Setup Instructions: Follow the detailed setup guide to ensure your machine meets all hosting requirements.
Connectivity and Updates Network and Updates: Ensure your network settings allow client access and disable auto-updates to prevent unexpected interruptions.
Hosting and Contract Basics
Client Expectations Uptime and Capacity: Aim for 100% uptime and be prepared for full capacity usage, as clients expect top-tier service.
Listings Creation Create and Manage Listings: Use Mesh AI’s CLI or GUI to create and manage your listings. Provide detailed information on GPU pricing, available discounts, and minimum bids for interruptible instances.
Rental Contract
Contractual Commitment: By listing your GPU resources, you agree to provide these resources as specified in your contract until its completion.
Setting Up and Testing Your Machine
Self-Testing Operational Check: Test your machine to ensure it is ready for hosting. Use the CLI for a thorough evaluation or the GUI for a simpler check.
Maintenance and Uninstalling
Scheduled Maintenance Maintenance Planning: Schedule maintenance during non-active periods and communicate any planned downtime to clients using Mesh AI’s tools.
Uninstalling Mesh AI
Active Client Usage: If the GPU is currently in use by a client and their rental period has not yet ended, the GPU cannot be uninstalled. The uninstallation process will be restricted until the rental time expires.
Host Request for Uninstallation: If a host wants to uninstall the GPU, they must submit a request. This request will only be processed after approval by the admin. Once the admin approves the request, the host will be allowed to proceed with the GPU uninstallation.
